Close the gold loophole that funds the RSF

The ask

European Commission: extend the EU's July 2026 ban on Sudanese gold to gold refined in the UAE.

Why

The RSF is financed through a network of about 50 gold-funded firms and successor fronts. Gold refined in the UAE gets around the EU ban unless the ban covers it.

What you can do

  1. Write to the European Commission and your MEP asking for the Sudanese gold ban to cover gold refined in the UAE.
  2. Journalists: use the listings tracker's files on the RSF's firms, fronts such as Capital Tap, Glow Gold and AZ Gold, and the Amdjarass flights.
  3. Ask your MEP to table a written question on when the Commission will propose the extension.
  4. Share the tracker's evidence from verified sources only. It holds no witness testimony and protects its sources.
